Please review the System Requirements Tab at the left for important OS and .NET Framework dependencies. Although OPC Router will install it, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you install .NET 8 Desktop Runtime for x64 first, before installing OPC Router V5.

Note: Software Toolbox is the OPC Router Preferred Partner in the United States and Canada for sales, pre and post-sale technical support and application consulting for inray, the developer of OPC Router. Therefore we generally only support users in these countries unless there are global sourcing arrangements. We will refer you back to inray for your local partner otherwise.

Your free trial has these limitations

  • Configure as long as you want
  • When you start running a configuration, it will stop after two hours and the full application will have to be restarted

Purchasing a license for OPC Router for the plug-ins you are using will remove these trial limitations and you can put your trial configuration into production use.

Upgrading Your Licensed System

What you'll need to use the free trial

  • See OPC Router Full System Requirements in our knowledgebase - below is an abbreviated summary
  • For configuration application & Windows runtime:
    • Computer running Windows 64 bit OS
      • Desktop: Windows 10, 10 IoT, 11
      • Server: Windows 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025
  • Memory - at least 8 Gb of free space on top of memory used by the OS, local database servers, and other applications.  Utilize our solutions consultants to help you size your production application based on actual user needs.
  • If deploying OPC Router runtime in a Docker container instead of on a Windows runtime, a platform with the Docker hosting engine setup and ready to receive containers, and a login. See full system requirements
  • Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser for V5 browser based configuration.
  • Microsoft .NET 8 Runtime x64 for OPC Router V5 or higher. Although it is included in product installer, we highly recommend you install this BEFORE you install OPC Router.

Need to reinstall or download an older version?

We recommend that all users be on an active support & maintenance agreement and run current software for the most robust and secure operation.  US-CISA and NIST always recommend that industrial control systems use current software and we stand with their recommendations.

However, we understand some users have made the business decision to run an older version. Depending on how old your system is, some downloads may not be available if the product has reached End-of-Life.

We review requests to download older versions on a case-by-case basis using the information you submit in your request. If you are on an active support agreement and we have a long-standing arrangement, we assure you that our team knows about that and will consider that in your request.
