The TOP Server IEC 61850 MMS Client driver provides a communication interface for devices used in power distribution supporting the IEC 61850 over MMS protocol including secure certificate based device connections to interface to OPC DA, OPC UA, & AVEVA Suitelink client applications.
IEC 61850 is a modern electrical substation communication protocol designed with the goal of decreasing data management effort. It uses symbolic addresses to reduce the time-intensive data mapping of numerically-addressed protocols, supports several self-description services for online data configuration and validation, and supports metadata in addition to real, measured data.
The IEC 61850 Driver provides an easy, secure & reliable way to read and write data for devices used in power distribution applications supporting IEC 61850 over MMS through client applications (including HMI, SCADA, Historian, MES, ERP, and countless custom applications).
The driver is available in a lite version for up to 10 devices for tight budgets, and a full version where number of devices is not license limited. Full capacity details are found under "Key Features" on this page.

Get Started Now
The demo is the full product once licensed. Once a client application connects to the TOP Server, the TOP Server runtime will operate for 2 hours at a time. At the end of the 2 hour demo period, the demo timer must be reset by restarting the TOP Server runtime service.
