TOP Server Schneider Modicon Modbus Suite Supported Devices

More Than Schneider/Modicon PLCs - Connect 1000’s of Modbus Devices

Devices Supported (By Driver) - Don't See Your Device Listed? Contact Us

The below table is meant to provide a high-level overview of the device types and families of devices supported by the Modbus Suite - it is not an all-inclusive list of every model due to the sheer volume of device manufacturers that have implemented Modbus for communications in their hardware. In general, if your device says it supports Modbus, the Modbus Suite should be able to get you connected.

We always recommend taking advantage of the TOP Server Free Trial to get connected to your controllers prior to purchase to ensure your needs will be met.

Important Notes:

  • The TOP Server Modbus Ethernet Driver specifies specifies all Device IDs in the format xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.y where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP Address of the device and y is the Node ID. Most Modbus TCP devices require a Node ID of 0; however, certain manufacturers allow the user to define a non-zero Node ID.
    • Additionally, the Node ID is used when communicating through a Modbus TCP to RTU Serial or Plus Gateway - specify the IP Address of the gateway followed by the Node ID of the target RTU Serial or Plus device.
    • When using the Modbus Ethernet driver in Server/Unsolicited Mode, the Device ID will be the IP Address of the local PC or the loopback address (127.0.0.1) followed by the desired/required Node ID.
  • The TOP Server Modbus Plus driver is only supported on 32-bit Windows operating systems.
